Step 2. Double-click the square by using the mouse, and the Button Setting tab below will pop up
(Figure 1-89).

Step 3. Check the box next to Button Type and click . The drop-down list will appear and show all buttons
for selection. In this example, Force ON is selected.
Step 4. In the field of Write-in, type in M0 and click to select the PLC device which the users want to write
in. Then, check the box next to Read and click
. The Refer Device tab will open as well. Enter the
desired read device name, device number and the communication. After completing the settings, click
OK button, and return to Button Setting tab.
Step 5. Check the box next to Function Key and click
. The drop-down list will appear and show the function
keys F0 ~ F9, Up, Down, Left and Right for selection. The users can set it freely to control the button
object. Please note that the functions keys F5 ~ F9 should be used with the Shift key when TP04 series
is used.
Step 6. User Level option should be used with the User-Level/Password Setting(U) in Tools(T) options.
Before using User Level option, the users need to define a 6 digits password for each user level (0 ~ 3)
by choosing Tools(T) > User-Level/Password Setting(U) first. After the password is set, the users
should enter correct password before executing the button function.
Step 7. The users can use Call function to set the Refer Device to be ON or OFF. After enabling the Call
function, the users can press
to choose which Refer Device will be called and determine if Set or
Reset the Refer Device before writing or after writing action. For example, if the Refer Device is set to
Y3, when “After Writing” and “Set” are selected, the system will call Y3 after this button is pressed.
Step 8. Button Text is used to add the text on the button and the Font Setting is usually 8x12 for clear display.
The users can also use Graph Input option to import the picture on the button. The Frame Setting of the
button could be No Frame, Single Frame, Double Frame, Circle Frame or Hide. When Hide is selected,
